Ms. Benjie de Ubago is a communications graduate of University of Santo Tomas. She is an advertising professional in Australia with over 40 years experience in the industry.

She has worked in the Philippines in Department of Public Information, Malacañang and Advertising & Marketing Associates. In Australia, she did PR and advertising for Channels 7 & 9, Leo Burnett Advertising, Paddy's Markets and managed her own advertising boutique, Ideas for Sale.

She's involved in the Filipino community in Australia and is a regular columnist for Filipino community newspapers. She also maintains her own website, www.filipin-oz.com

She has published the "Filipino-Oz Directory" for the Filipino community in Australia; and has written books, "When in Doubt Salute! Surviving Martial Law in Malacañang" (2016) and "Filipino Pioneers and Achievers in Australia" (2021).

She was the recipient of the NSW Premier's Multicultural Communications Award in 2020.
